4-1/2" X 7/8" T27 ALUMINUM OXIDE FLAP DISC - 10 PACK
4-1/2" x 7/8" T27 (Flat Face) Aluminum Oxide (AO) Flap Discs are with premium X-Flexed polycotton cloth. They offer fast, convenient mounting to your backing pad and a sturdy tear resistant polycotton backing for rigidity and strength. These rolls are made with premium Aluminum Oxide grains. Typical applications for AO sanding discs include preparing primed and painted surfaces for finishing, stripping primer and paint, sanding plastic and fiberglass, light weld blending and deburring, bare wood sanding, and finishing metal of all types. This sandpaper roll features a clog-reducing net design coated in premium aluminum oxide grit for fast material removal while reducing material build-up. These discs exceed other flap discs by packing 25 to 50% more abrasives on each snippet (compared to the competition). In addition, all discs are manufactured on computer-controlled machines and subject to numerous tests which ensure high quality and greater safety.
These type 27 flap discs are a versatile product that can be used from aggressive stock removal to surface blending. The layered construction of abrasive flaps on this flap disc will continually expose new grains for longer life and finer finish compared to resin fiber discs. It can be used for heavy material removal on all types of metals.
T27 (flat face) discs are perfect for grinding down items that are not flat surfaces (like fence posts, gates and risers etc). For the best solution on flat surfaced check out our T29 (angled face) flap discs.
Aluminum Oxide (A/O) is the most commonly used grain at an economical price point. If you are looking for more aggressive stock removal or a premium option, check out our Zirconia options.

- For less stock removal try using a lighter touch or a feathered approach to your grinding. Flap discs are like grinding wheels with power steering!
- Always wear proper PPE to include (but not limited to) safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, and hand protection. Keep all guards in place on your machine.
