PSA Discs

PSA Discs or Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Discs, are a self-adhesive sanding disc that attaches easily to a sanding machines via a PSA backing pad or sanding platter.  Available in economical paper backing, durable cloth backing for larger sizes and aggressive jobs or film backed.  The tear-resistant film backed discs are great for any job and can be used in both wet and dry applications from grits 40 to 3000!  Fine finishing at its finest.

Hook & Loop Discs

Hook & Loop discs employ the 3M Velcro® hook and loop technology to securely adhere the disc to a sanding machine via a hook and loop backing pad. Hook & Loop discs are great for sanding in environments where you remove and re-use your discs; unlike PSA discs where dust can ruin the adhesion ability of the disc when they are removed.  Rip it off, slap the next disc on and get back to work!  Less downtime = more moneymaking time!  Our discs come in a variety of hole options to cover just about every sander out there, with or without a vacuum attachment.

Flap Discs

Flap discs?  More like grinding wheels with power steering.  These discs up your grinding game by combining the material removal of a conventional grinding wheel with the control of a palm sander.  The different abrasive grain sizes allow for a range of different finishes/scratch patterns and the cushion effect of the layered coated flaps allows for a lighter touch for feathered sanding or an aggressive metal hog.  The pressure you apply dictates the aggressiveness of the disc.

• Shapes: T27 Flat Faced, T29 Angled Face, Curved (for Fillet Welds)

Resin Fiber Discs

Resin Fiber Discs are made with a heavy-duty vulcanized fiber backing material to provide a sturdy griding surface.  These tear-resistant discs work best with a resin fiber disc backing pad; Benchmark offers both the harder plastic style and softer rubber backers for different applications and working styles.  These discs are resistant to heat, glazing, and loading, and are excellent on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Quick Change Discs

Tiny but Mighty!  Quick change discs are some of the smallest sanding discs offered by Benchmark Abrasives, coming in 2” and 3” quick change or “Roloc®” style.  These little guys are fantastic at getting into tight spaces and getting the work done.  Throw one on your die grinder or power drill and get in those hard-to-reach corners.  Our new curved options are great at maintaining a desired surface finish on radius corners.

Surface Conditioning Discs

Surface Conditioning Discs are less about material removal and more about prepping your surface for the finishing process, whether you are applying a lacquer, paint or leaving your metal raw for some natural patina.   Benchmark offers a complete line of Paint & Rust Stripping discs making surface coating removal a breeze along with the non-woven surface conditioning for cleaning, blending, and finishing applications.
