Shipping Policy

We know that you’re not buying our fantastic products to hang them on a wall or to admire from afar…you actually need the products to create and build products and projects.  With that in mind we do our best to process orders fast and get your goods in your hands ASAP.

Benchmark Abrasives guarantees that all orders for products that are in stock will be processed and shipped within 4 business days. Most packages will ship the next day with the exception of orders placed after 12pm Fridays; orders placed after 12pm Friday will usually ship the following Monday. For same-day order processing, orders must be placed prior to 1pm PST and you will need to contact customer service to request this service (an expedited shipping charge may be added to the order). Expedited shipping does not guarantee faster shipping time frames by the selected carrier; it only ensures that the order will ship out from our distribution warehouse on the same day.  

Shipping is FREE on all orders with a NET value of $50+.  Free shipping is not available on international orders. Free shipping will only be available to orders being delivered within the lower 48 states that meet the minimum spend requirements.  International orders will be provided with shipping costs calculated using the products’ weights and dimensions.

Benchmark Abrasives use standard shipping rates to calculate the shipping cost for all orders. This is done so that our customers receive fast, fair, and reliable shipping on all orders.

Carriers We Use

USPS – we utilize the USPS flat rate priority box program (when the goods fit) as well as the USPS Ground Advantage program to ship orders.  ***If your order shows being delivered but it is not there, please wait 24hrs before contacting us.  USPS managers are notorious for marking packages delivered up to a full day before making an actual delivery attempt.  This is to ensure they have good “on time” records but it is dishonest and very frustrating for us and for our customer***

UPS – we utilize UPS ground for our standard delivery options.  Customers who desire a faster delivery option can contact customer service or sales for faster options.  The expedited shipping cost will be passed on to the customer.  If you prefer to use your own UPS shipping #, please contact customer service or sales before you place your order so the team can handle the request appropriately.

FEDEX – we utilize FEDEX Ground for some deliveries. 

If you are unable to receive packages from any of our shipping partners, please email us upon completion of your order to request specific carrier options.

Expedited Shipping Options

Undelivered Package

If your order has not arrived but is showing delivered:

USPS – give it 24 hours

UPS – contact us immediately

FEDEX – contact us immediately

Undeliverable Package

If the address you provided is undeliverable, we may contact you via phone or email to verify your address for reshipment. However, you are responsible for the shipping charges, any duties, taxes and/or customs charges that are incurred on the package for both the original and the re-delivered shipment.

Sales Tax and Duty

Customer is responsible for all applicable import duty and local tax. Please verify with your Customs before making purchase.

International customers will now be charged all import duties at time of order placement.  As a Shopify partner, Shopify will collect, report and pay the import duties directly to your government on our behalf.

Tax Exempt Entities

If you are a tax-exempt entity and would like to place tax exempt orders, follow these steps:

  1. Set up an account
  2. Email your tax documents to victor@benchmarkabrasives.com from the same email on account
  3. Sit back and wait for us to click a few buttons, pull a few levers and fire an email confirmation back to you.

Shipping to an address different from your billing address

If you choose to ship to an address different from your credit card billing address, we may contact you via phone or email to confirm your shipping and billing addresses to prevent possible fraudulent use of your credit card.

Fraud Protection

Our website is equipped with fraud monitoring systems.  If the order is flagged as potentially fraudulent, we will reach out via phone to confirm all details of your order.  This is to protect both our company and our customers from potentially fraud related headaches.
