5-3/8" 50-TOOTH TCT SAW BLADE FOR STEEL & FERROUS METAL
The Benchmark Abrasives 5-3/8" 50-tooth TCT saw blade is designed for clean, controlled cutting of steel and other ferrous metals. Its higher 50-tooth configuration and TCG (Triple Chip Grind) tooth geometry make it the better choice when edge quality matters more than maximum cutting speed.
Durable tungsten carbide-tipped teeth cut common steel shapes such as angle iron, pipe, tubing, rebar and flat stock while producing fewer sparks and less heat than traditional abrasive cutting methods. A 20 mm arbor with included 5/8" and 10 mm bushings provides added fitment flexibility for compatible compact circular saws.

Product Features
- 50-tooth configuration favors smoother edge quality and more controlled cutting.
- TCG tooth geometry distributes the cutting load across alternating tooth profiles for durable metal-cutting performance.
- Tungsten carbide-tipped teeth provide a long-lasting cutting edge for repeated steel cutting.
- 0.079" kerf provides an efficient cutting path through common ferrous-metal shapes.
- 20 mm arbor with 5/8" and 10 mm bushings expands fitment options for compatible saws.
- Reduced sparks and heat compared with traditional abrasive cutting methods can help provide a cleaner, more controlled cutting experience.
- 4,200 RPM maximum speed clearly identifies the operating limit for proper machine selection.
Materials & Applications
Best For
- Mild steel
- Steel
- Wrought iron
- Square tubing
- Round pipe and tubing
- Angle iron
- Rebar
- Flat stock
- Steel plate up to 1/8"
The 50-tooth configuration is especially useful for fabrication, installation, maintenance and general metalworking applications where a cleaner finished edge is more important than the faster cutting speed of a lower-tooth-count blade. The current product page specifically lists square tube, angle iron, 1/8" steel plate, pipe, tubing, rebar and flat stock as applications.
Machine Compatibility
Designed for compatible 5-3/8" and certain 5-1/2" circular saws that accept the blade diameter, arbor configuration and operating speed.
Common compatible machine brands include:
- Milwaukee® M18 FUEL 2782-20
- Bosch®
- DeWalt®
- Makita® XSC03Z
- Panasonic®
- Skil®
- Ryobi® 5-1/2" saws
Always verify your saw's blade diameter, arbor size and operating RPM before installation. The saw must not exceed the blade's 4,200 RPM maximum rating.
Choosing the Right Tooth Count

With 50 teeth on a 5-3/8" blade, this is the smoother-cutting option compared with the 30T version, making it better suited for thinner material and finish-sensitive steel cutting.
Tips for Better Blade Performance
- Secure the workpiece firmly before cutting.
- Use a steady, controlled feed rate and allow the carbide teeth to perform the cut.
- Avoid forcing the blade through the material.
- Keep chips and debris clear of the cutting path.
- Inspect the blade before use for damaged, missing or excessively worn teeth.
- Replace or professionally sharpen the blade when cutting performance noticeably declines.
- Saw blade lubricant can help reduce buildup and extend blade life during demanding applications.
- Never exceed the blade's 4,200 RPM maximum operating speed.
Safety
- Use only on saws designed to accept this blade diameter and arbor configuration.
- Never install the blade on a machine that exceeds the blade's maximum RPM.
- Keep all factory guards installed and properly functioning.
- Inspect the blade before every use. Do not use a cracked, warped or damaged blade.
- Secure the workpiece before cutting and maintain control throughout the cut.
- Do not use this blade on stainless steel or hardened materials.
