Tell us about yourself - what inspired you to get into your trade? And how long? I grew up in a junkyard where my dad worked basically... Once I bought my house I really got into modifying cars... I've learned so much just trying to build what I think up! I've made mistakes and learned from them... My builds are far from perfect but I started in gravel driveway to pallet floored popup garages and now i just built a shop! I've really made most of my progress in a short span of 5-6 years...
|
What keeps you motivated throughout the day? The finished product when I'm done is always a great motivator! I always expect the worst outcome and somehow it always turns out awesome! My followers/subscribers are awesome motivators as well. They keep me on track and always have something positive to say! |
What is your favorite shop tool and why? This is definitely a difficult one since I built the shop. I've gotten so many great tools from a 2 post lift, tig welder, press with dimple dies, and more... but i'd have to say my langmuir cnc plasma table is proving to be the ultimate shop tool! So capable and allows me to produce some extremely cool things! Favorite thing I've built with it was my heel plate in my fiero!
|
What's your favorite piece that you've worked on? My fiero hands down it's my resume everything i can do now i learned on my fiero! Built so much from turbo setup to pushrod suspension...
|
If you could have any job as it relates to question 1 what would it be and what would you do with that? The dream is be able to do what i do for a living based off youtube/instagram |
What BA product is your favorite and why?
Cut-off discs or flap discs! Been using both for years now and i love how affordable they are and they last longer than other competitor ones i've used...
|
What BA product surprised you in terms of quality - what about it set it apart from the competition?
The flap discs have been a game changer for cleaning up materials... I first tried them from the FREEMIX deal and was extremely happy with the assortment and I've been strictly buying BA products since!
|
What tips and tricks do you have for us that might be different or eye opening for others to try with BA product?
Other than stock up when the deals are out I can't say anything else comes to mind! And the freemix is awesome and will change your mind if you're wondering if you should get them! |
If there was one person you could collaborate with - who would it be and why?
Probably would have to say ricer miata on youtube was always a fan since the haggard garage days... very much like me he is self taught and has a passion for the car hobby... I'm hoping to build my first drift car this winter and start getting into that part of motorsports...
|
Do you have any advice for the next generation that you wish you had when you first started?
DO NOT BE AFRAID TO FAIL! If you never try you'll never get anywhere! |
What are your future plans for your shop?
At this point I'm just trying to organize and fill it full of tools I want so I can continue to grow and build cooler and cooler stuff!

A Note From Leo
Thanks for sharing your story with us, Stevoo! Being self taught is one of the best ways to go about learning. It's like Edison once said, "I have not failed 10,000 times—I've successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work."
