14" X 3/32" X 1" T1 STUD CUTTER - 10 PACK
Benchmark Abrasives 14" x 3/32" x 1" T1 Stud Cutter Wheels are built for fast, narrow-kerf cutting on stationary abrasive chop saws. The thinner 3/32" profile reduces cutting resistance and material loss compared with thicker general-purpose chop saw wheels, making it especially effective for light-gauge material, metal studs, tubing, pipe, and fabrication work where speed and cut control matter.
These wheels are made with premium aluminum oxide abrasive grain, German resin bonding, and two layers of fiberglass reinforcement for added strength during demanding cutting applications. The combination of a thin cutting profile and reinforced Type 1 construction makes this wheel a strong choice for repetitive shop cutting where a conventional 1/8" chop saw wheel may remove more material than necessary.
The 14" diameter and 1" arbor are designed for compatible stationary abrasive chop saws rated for 14" bonded cut-off wheels. With a maximum speed of 4,365 RPM, the wheel is intended for lower-speed stationary cutting machines—not high-speed gas saws or angle grinders.
Bottom line, these cut off wheels offer LESS cutting resistance for fast work, LESS work piece waste, LESS vibration, LESS burrs and sparks and LESS dust than the competition

Machine Compatibility
Designed for compatible 14" stationary abrasive chop saws that accept a 1" arbor Type 1 cut-off wheel and operate within the wheel's 4,365 RPM maximum.
Compatible examples include:
- Makita® LW1400
- Makita® LW1401
- DEWALT® D28730 when the wheel thickness and mounting setup are accepted by the exact machine configuration
Also suitable for other stationary or jobsite abrasive chop saws specifically approved for 14" Type 1 bonded cut-off wheels with a 1" arbor.
Always verify wheel diameter, arbor, maximum RPM, flange configuration, guard, and machine approval before use. Confirm wheel thickness and any minimum wheel-speed rating specified by the saw manufacturer, too.
Cutting Performance
The 3/32" profile is designed to reduce cutting resistance and workpiece waste compared with thicker cut-off wheels. It is especially useful for light-gauge materials such as metal studs, where a narrower kerf can improve cutting efficiency and reduce unnecessary material removal.
For best results, keep the wheel straight through the cut and allow the abrasive to work without forcing, twisting, or side loading the wheel.
Safety Tips
- Use this wheel for cutting only. Never grind with the side of the wheel.
- Never exceed the wheel's 4,365 RPM maximum speed.
- Use only on machines specifically approved for 14" bonded abrasive cut-off wheels.
- Always use the correct guard, flanges, and mounting hardware specified by the saw manufacturer.
- Do not use this stationary chop saw wheel on a handheld gas-powered cut-off saw.
- Inspect the wheel before use and do not operate cracked, chipped, damaged, or improperly stored wheels.
- Keep the wheel straight in the cut and avoid side loading.
- Secure the workpiece before cutting.
- Wear appropriate eye and face protection, hearing protection, respiratory protection where required, gloves, and other application-specific PPE.
