Benchmark Abrasives 14" x 1/8" (5/32") x 1" T1 High Speed Gas Saw Wheels are built for demanding portable metal cutting where maximum reach and cutting depth are required. The large 14" diameter gives contractors, fabricators, maintenance crews, and repair professionals the capacity to cut larger pipe, tubing, structural steel, and fabricated assemblies that smaller gas saw wheels cannot reach as effectively.
Made with aluminum oxide abrasive grain, these flat Type 1 wheels are designed specifically for cutting steel, stainless steel, and other approved metals. Their substantial profile supports controlled edge cutting through demanding metalwork on high-speed gas saws.
The 1" arbor is designed for compatible 14" gas-powered cut-off saws using a 1" mounting configuration and approved bonded-abrasive setup. With a maximum wheel speed of 5,400 RPM, machine selection must account for the wheel's diameter, arbor, speed rating, guard, flanges, and mounting requirements.

Machine Compatibility
Designed for compatible 14" gas-powered cut-off saws that accept a 1" arbor bonded abrasive wheel and are approved for Type 1 metal-cutting wheel operation.
Compatible examples include:
- Makita® EK7301, 14" configuration with the factory-approved 1" (25.4mm) mounting setup
- Other compatible power cutters specifically approved for 14" bonded abrasive metal-cutting wheels and operating within the wheel's 5,400 RPM maximum
Always verify the machine's approved wheel diameter, 1" arbor configuration, guard, flanges, mounting hardware, and operating requirements before use. Confirm wheel thickness and any minimum wheel-speed rating specified by the saw manufacturer, too.
Do not use this 1" arbor version on a machine configured only for 20mm wheels unless the saw manufacturer specifically provides and approves the correct mounting arrangement.
Cutting Performance
The 14" diameter provides the greatest cutting reach in the Benchmark Abrasives gas saw wheel lineup, making it especially useful for large pipe, structural sections, fabricated assemblies, and other substantial metalwork.
Its aluminum oxide abrasive construction is designed for steel, stainless steel, and other approved metals. Use the wheel on the edge only and allow the abrasive to perform the cut without twisting, side loading, or excessive force.
Safety Tips
- Use this wheel for cutting only. Never grind with the side of the wheel.
- Never exceed the wheel's 5,400 RPM maximum speed.
- Use only on machines specifically approved for 14" bonded abrasive cut-off wheels.
- Confirm the machine accepts a 1" arbor.
- Always use the correct guard, flanges, and mounting hardware specified by the saw manufacturer.
- Do not substitute stationary chop-saw wheels for gas-saw wheels.
- Do not assume a gas saw's ability to cut concrete means this wheel is approved for concrete or masonry.
- Use dry. Do not apply water to this bonded abrasive wheel.
- Inspect the wheel before use and do not operate cracked, chipped, damaged, or improperly stored wheels.
- Wear appropriate eye and face protection, hearing protection, gloves, respiratory protection where required, and other application-specific PPE.
