Benchmark Abrasives 3" shaft mounted bristle brushes use aluminum oxide abrasive throughout flexible bristles for controlled cleaning, coating removal, light deburring, blending, and surface conditioning on metal. The larger 3" working diameter provides efficient coverage while the flexible bristles conform to irregular surfaces, edges, and contours.
The integrated 1/4" round shank mounts directly into a compatible collet or chuck, eliminating the need for a separate quick change holder. Available in 50, 80, and 120 grit, this shaft-mounted brush provides a progression from heavier cleaning to finer surface conditioning for rust, paint, oxidation, varnish, and general surface cleanup.

It uses a 1/4" round shank for direct mounting in a compatible collet or chuck.
No. The shaft-mounted design installs directly into a compatible 1/4" collet or chuck.
No. A 1/4" shank measures 6.35 mm, so a 6 mm collet is a different size and should not be treated as interchangeable.
The 3" shaft mounted bristle brush is available in 50 grit green, 80 grit yellow, and 120 grit white.
Choose 50 grit for heavier cleaning and coating removal, 80 grit for balanced cleaning and conditioning, and 120 grit for finer surface conditioning, particularly on softer nonferrous metals such as aluminum.
The published maximum speed is 25,000 RPM, with a recommended operating range of 15,000–25,000 RPM. Never exceed the lowest applicable speed limit of the brush or power tool.
Choose a die grinder that accepts a 1/4" shank and specifically allows a 3" brush, with adequate clearance and a maximum speed no higher than 25,000 RPM.
Yes. Choose 120 grit white for lighter conditioning, use light pressure, and test a small area to check the finish.
This brush is intended primarily for cleaning, coating removal, light deburring, blending, and surface conditioning. Heavy weld removal and significant stock removal require an abrasive designed for grinding.
