4" X 1/2" COTTON SPIRAL SEWN BUFFING WHEEL WITH 1/4" MANDREL

Start your polishing process with the cutting power of our 4" cotton spiral sewn buffing wheel. Its tightly stitched cotton construction creates a firm working face that supports greater pressure and works efficiently with cutting compounds to remove fine sanding marks, oxidation, light scratches, and other surface imperfections. It is the most aggressive of our 4" conventional buffing wheels and is designed to establish a clean, uniform surface before moving into the finer polishing stages.

The integrated 1/4" ball-groove quick-change shank brings that cutting performance to a portable drill-mounted format. Instead of taking the workpiece to a stationary buffer, you can bring the wheel directly to larger assemblies, installed parts, irregular shapes, and other difficult-to-position projects. Pair it with the appropriate cutting compound for the material, then progress to a cushion-sewn cotton wheel and flannel wheel when greater luster and final gloss are desired.

Polishing Performance

Tip: Think of spiral-sewn cotton as the first wheel in a traditional three-stage polishing process:

Spiral Sewn → Cushion Sewn → Flannel

Use the spiral-sewn wheel to establish the surface, cushion-sewn cotton to refine and develop luster, and soft flannel when maximum final gloss is the goal.

After the initial cutting stage, clean the workpiece and move to the appropriate softer wheel and finer compound.

For best results, dedicate one buffing wheel to each compound to prevent contamination between polishing stages.
