Product Specification

1/2" X 1" X 1/8" STRAIGHT CARTRIDGE ROLL ALUMINUM OXIDE - 10 PACK

The 1/2" x 1" straight aluminum oxide cartridge roll delivers a larger abrasive working surface in a compact format for deburring, blending, and surface preparation inside holes, internal contours, and recessed areas. Its 1/2" diameter covers more surface than smaller cartridge rolls, while the shorter 1" length gives you controlled access where extra reach is not needed.

Tightly wound aluminum oxide abrasive cloth exposes fresh abrasive as the outer layers wear, helping maintain consistent cutting action throughout the life of the roll. Available in 60, 80, and 120 grit, these Made in USA cartridge rolls handle applications ranging from aggressive deburring to finer blending and finish preparation.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 1/2" diameter provides more abrasive working surface than smaller cartridge rolls, making it a good choice when you have enough clearance and want broader coverage inside holes, contours, and recessed areas.
Both have the same 1/2" diameter and 1/8" center hole. This version is 1" long, making it more compact for controlled work, while the 1-1/2" version provides additional reach and abrasive working surface.
Use the Benchmark Abrasives BM-CM10 Cartridge Roll Mandrel with this 1/2" x 1" cartridge roll.
No. Each package contains 10 cartridge rolls. The BM-CM10 mandrel is sold separately.
Choose a die grinder, rotary tool or rotary drill approved for cartridge rolls that accepts the BM-CM10 mandrel's 1/8" shank. Follow the tool's speed instructions and never exceed 23,000 RPM or any lower accessory limit. A fixed-speed tool rated above that limit is not suitable.
Use 60 grit for more aggressive deburring and material removal, 80 grit for general-purpose sanding and blending, and 120 grit for finer blending and finish preparation. The grit graphic above provides a quick reference.
No. 23,000 RPM is the maximum speed rating, not a required operating speed. Actual operating speed should suit the material, application, mandrel, and tool being used.
