3/4" X 1" SURFACE CONDITIONING SPIRAL BANDS, 10 PACK
Benchmark Abrasives 3/4" x 1" surface conditioning spiral bands are designed for blending, light deburring, cleaning, and surface refinement on metal. The 3/4" diameter provides good access to contours and openings, while the 1" axial width gives more abrasive contact for longer surfaces and broader localized areas.
The flexible nonwoven abrasive construction conforms to curved and contoured workpieces while providing controlled finishing action without the aggressive stock-removal behavior of a conventional coated abrasive band. Available in Coarse, Medium, and Fine grades, these bands cover heavier cleanup through finer blending and finishing preparation.

Product Features
Flexible nonwoven construction conforms to curved and contoured surfaces
Designed for blending, cleaning, light deburring, and surface refinement
3/4" diameter works well on contours, openings, edges, and confined areas
1" axial width provides more contact than the 3/4" x 3/4" size
Coarse, Medium, and Fine grades cover different levels of surface conditioning
Replaceable bands mount over the matching rubber expanding drum
Make sure the band is fully seated and supported by the correctly sized expanding drum.
Inspect the band and drum before use and replace damaged or excessively worn components.
Do not allow the spiral band to extend beyond the supporting drum.
Use light, controlled pressure and allow the nonwoven material to conform to the work surface.
Follow the speed limits for the band, expanding drum, and power tool. Never exceed the rating of the lowest-rated component.
Wear appropriate eye, hearing, respiratory, and hand protection for the material and application.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Each package contains 10 surface conditioning spiral bands. The matching 3/4" x 1" Rubber Expanding Drum is sold separately.
The maximum speed for the 3/4" x 1" Surface Conditioning Spiral Band is 19,000 RPM. The matching 3/4" x 1" Rubber Expanding Drum is also rated at 19,000 RPM. Always verify the power tool rating and never exceed the lowest-rated component in the complete assembly.
Coarse is associated with approximately 60-80 grit and is best for heavier cleanup, aggressive blending, rough deburring, and surface preparation.
Medium is approximately 100-150 grit for general blending, weld-area cleanup, light deburring, and surface prep.
Fine is approximately 320-400 grit for final blending, scratch refinement, finishing preparation, and smoother surfaces.
Aluminum oxide, zirconia, and ceramic spiral bands are coated abrasives intended primarily for sanding and material removal. Surface conditioning spiral bands use a flexible nonwoven construction and are better suited to blending, cleaning, light deburring, and refining the surface.
Both use a 3/4" inner diameter. The 3/4" x 1" band provides a broader working surface for longer contours and larger localized areas, while the 3/4" x 3/4" size offers shorter contact for more localized work.
Yes. Stainless steel is included in the material range for these Surface Conditioning Spiral Bands.
Wet-use approval has not been established for this product. Use them for dry applications unless product-specific wet-use instructions are provided.
