Built specifically for aluminum and other soft non-ferrous metals, this 4-1/2" T29 flap disc combines aggressive aluminum oxide abrasive with a specialized stearate coating that helps resist loading and gumming during grinding. Instead of allowing soft metal to pack between the abrasive grains and reduce cutting performance, the anti-loading coating helps keep the abrasive surface working more effectively as heat builds during use.
The 15° T29 angled face is designed to ergonomically approach flat work surfaces, making it the preferred profile for grinding down bead welds, blending welds, and removing stock across flat aluminum plate, sheet, and fabricated components. Available in coarse 36 and 60 grit, this disc is built for fast material removal, weld cleanup, blending, deburring, and surface preparation on materials that can quickly load a conventional flap disc.
High Density/Jumbo construction adds more flaps and a thicker abrasive profile than a regular-density flap disc, giving the user more usable abrasive material for demanding fabrication work. Combined with an X-weight polycotton cloth backing and aluminum-specific anti-loading treatment, this disc is a strong choice for shops that regularly grind aluminum, copper, zinc, tin, and other soft non-ferrous metals.

Machine Compatibility
Designed for compatible 4-1/2" to 5" angle grinders using a 7/8" mounting system.
For a Benchmark option, use the Benchmark Abrasives 4-1/2" corded angle grinder, which supports compatible 7/8" bore accessories.
Because this is a High Density/Jumbo flap disc, always confirm sufficient guard, flange, and mounting-hardware clearance before operation. The grinder's operating speed must not exceed the flap disc's 13,300 RPM maximum.
