4-1/2" X 7/8" T29 ZIRCONIA HIGH DENSITY FLAP DISC - 10 PACK
Built for demanding flat-surface grinding where standard flap discs can run out of usable abrasive too quickly, these 4-1/2" T29 Zirconia High Density Flap Discs use a thicker Jumbo construction with more flaps than a regular-density disc. The added abrasive volume gives fabricators more grinding material to work through, while the self-sharpening zirconia grain continually exposes fresh cutting edges under the heat and pressure of metal grinding.
The angled T29 profile is designed to ergonomically approach flat work surfaces, making it the preferred flap-disc shape for grinding down bead welds, blending welds, and performing controlled stock removal across flat material. Its overlapping flap construction allows each disc to grind, blend, and progressively refine the surface while maintaining better surface control than a rigid grinding wheel.
Benchmark Abrasives high density flap discs are manufactured on computer-controlled equipment for consistent flap placement and construction. Machine Compatibility

Because High Density/Jumbo flap discs are thicker than regular-density discs, always confirm that the grinder's guard, flanges, and mounting hardware provide proper clearance before use. The grinder's operating speed must not exceed the flap disc's 13,300 RPM maximum.
