7" HOOK & LOOP SURFACE CONDITIONING DISCS - 10 PACK
Benchmark Abrasives 7" hook & loop surface conditioning discs provide a large working surface for cleaning, blending, light deburring, scratch refinement, and finish preparation across broad metal surfaces. The flexible open nonwoven construction is filled with aluminum oxide abrasive and conforms to the workpiece, delivering controlled surface conditioning without the aggressive stock removal of a conventional coated abrasive disc.
Available in coarse, medium, and fine grades, the 7" diameter is especially useful when you need to cover larger areas efficiently while maintaining the conformability and controlled cutting action of nonwoven abrasive material. The hook-and-loop backing allows fast disc changes and pairs with a compatible 7" backing pad for an efficient surface-conditioning system.
Quantity: 10 Discs

Performance
The open nonwoven construction provides controlled abrasive action while conforming to curves, contours, and irregular surfaces. The larger 7" diameter increases surface coverage, making these discs well suited for conditioning broad work areas where smaller discs would require more passes.
Choose Coarse for stronger cleaning and surface preparation, Medium for general blending and refinement, and Fine for lighter finishing. Final surface appearance depends on the selected grade, starting surface, workpiece material, operating speed, applied pressure, and technique.
Hook & Loop Attachment
The loop-backed disc attaches directly to a compatible 7" hook-and-loop backing pad, allowing worn discs or different grades to be changed quickly without tools.
These discs are designed to pair with the Benchmark Abrasives 7" x 5/8"-11 Padded Hook & Loop Backing Pad when the complete tool, backing pad, and abrasive assembly meets all mounting and operating-speed requirements.
Backing pad sold separately.

Machine Compatibility
These discs require a compatible 7" hook-and-loop backing pad. Machine compatibility depends on the backing pad, tool mounting system, tool instructions, and the speed rating of every component in the assembly.
The surface conditioning disc itself is rated to a maximum of 6,000 RPM. The maximum RPM of the Benchmark Abrasives 7" x 5/8"-11 Padded Hook & Loop Backing Pad has not been established in the current product information, so the backing pad's verified speed rating should be confirmed before pairing the assembly with a specific power tool.
Do not select a machine based only on disc diameter or spindle thread. The complete assembly must be approved for the intended machine and operating speed.
Safety Tips
- Always use a compatible 7" hook-and-loop backing pad.
- Make sure the entire disc surface is securely attached to the backing pad before starting the tool.
- Never exceed the disc's maximum speed of 6,000 RPM.
- Never exceed the speed rating of the lowest-rated component in the complete assembly.
- Verify the backing pad's rated maximum RPM before use.
- Inspect the disc and backing pad for damage, excessive wear, or contamination before operation.
-
- Use controlled pressure and allow the surface conditioning material to do the work.
- Follow the operating and safety instructions supplied with the power tool and backing pad.
