  • Always use the guards and PPE required for your machine and application.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is designed primarily for steel grinding, shaping, stock removal, deburring, and fabrication work.
This belt is designed for machines that use 2" x 48" sanding belts. Examples include Kalamazoo® 2FSM and BG248, Burr King® 482, Multitool® MT482-8, JET® IBGB-248VS, AmeriBrade® Kamimura Trident, and Grizzly® T32459Z (adjusted for a 48-inch belt). Other machines using this belt size may also be compatible. Check your exact model and installed setup before ordering, and follow the machine and belt speed requirements. The T32459Z is for metal grinding; its manual does not permit wood sanding.
Yes. The 2" x 48" format is a practical option for knife makers using compatible grinders, particularly for steel stock removal, blade profiling, shaping, and edge work.
Use 24–36 grit for very coarse stock removal, 40–60 grit for coarse grinding and shaping, and 80 grit for medium sanding, blending, and refinement.
The belt is designed for wet or dry use, but wet sanding should only be performed when the machine and application are approved for it.
Yes. The belt is bi-directional, but follow your machine’s required running direction.
Choose zirconia when the application is centered on steel stock removal, grinding, shaping, and fabrication. Aluminum oxide is the more general-purpose option for everyday wood and metal sanding across a broader grit range.
