The 4-1/2" x 4" Spiral Sewn Muslin Buffing Drum from Benchmark Abrasives is built for controlled surface refinement during mid-stage polishing operations. It’s commonly used once abrasive prep is complete to smooth and color metal surfaces before final finishing.

This drum uses layered muslin cotton assembled to create a firm, stable polishing face that responds well under steady pressure. The spiral-sewn construction helps the buff hold its shape during continuous use, delivering predictable results without excessive flex or chatter.

Safety Tips & Techniques:

• Apply light pressure and let the tool do the work. Bearing down on the tool will result in reduced tool life.
• Always wear proper PPE to include (but not limited to) safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, and hand protection. Keep all guards in place on your machine.
• Avoid use on electric power drills; the slower speeds can result in chipping of your workpiece.
