RIGHT ANGLE PNEUMATIC DIE GRINDER
The Benchmark Abrasives Right Angle Pneumatic Die Grinder gives you the access and control a straight grinder simply can’t when the work gets tight. Its compact 90° configuration puts the abrasive where you need it around welds, inside corners, edges, contours, and other confined areas, making it an excellent shop tool for detailed grinding, deburring, shaping, weld cleanup, and surface preparation.
Running at up to 15,000 RPM, this lightweight 1.1 lb pneumatic grinder delivers the speed needed for controlled material removal without the bulk of a larger grinding tool. The right-angle design is especially useful when working around fabricated assemblies, automotive components, tooling, and complex parts where approach angle matters just as much as cutting power. Match the installed collet precisely to the accessory shank, choose the proper abrasive for the material and application, and this compact grinder becomes a highly versatile finishing and metal-preparation tool.

Applications & Performance
The biggest advantage of a right-angle die grinder is access. The 90° head lets you approach the work from the side instead of directly in line with the tool, giving you better positioning in areas where a straight die grinder becomes awkward or simply won’t fit.
Ideal Applications:
- Weld cleanup and blending
- Deburring sharp edges
- Edge and surface preparation
- Metal shaping and contouring
- Rust and scale removal with the appropriate abrasive
- Cleaning around joints, corners, and fabricated assemblies
- Detailed grinding in confined areas
- Automotive and motorsports fabrication
- Tool and die maintenance
- General repair and metalworking
Why Choose a Right Angle Die Grinder?
Better access in tight spaces – The 90° configuration reaches areas that are difficult to approach with a straight die grinder.
Controlled 15,000 RPM performance – Provides the speed needed for detailed grinding, deburring, shaping, and surface-preparation work.
Lightweight handling – At only 1.1 lb, the compact body is easier to maneuver around intricate parts and confined work areas.
More control over approach angle – Position the abrasive against edges, welds, contours, and surfaces without forcing your wrist or the tool into an awkward position.
Versatile shop performance – Change the accessory and move from deburring and grinding to blending, cleanup, and surface preparation with the same compact pneumatic tool.
Accessory Compatibility
Choose shank-mounted accessories that exactly match the installed collet and are suitable for the grinder's operating speed, accessory-size limits, material, and application.
Before installing an accessory:
- Confirm the accessory shank matches the marking on the installed collet exactly.
- Use an accessory rated for at least 15,000 RPM at the intended shank overhang.
- Follow the accessory manufacturer's limits for head diameter, shank insertion, and overhang.
- Choose the abrasive or cutting geometry specifically for the material being worked.
- Never assume inch and metric shank or collet sizes are interchangeable.
The 1/4" air inlet is the air-supply connection, not the collet size.
Safety Tips
- Do not exceed 90 PSI operating air pressure.
- Always wear appropriate eye, face, hearing, hand, and respiratory protection for the application.
- Inspect the grinder, collet, and accessory before each use.
- Match the accessory shank exactly to the installed collet.
- Never force an incorrectly sized shank into a collet.
- Use only accessories rated for at least 15,000 RPM and suitable for the grinder and application.
- Fully insert and secure the accessory according to its operating instructions while maintaining the required overhang.
- Never use cracked, damaged, bent, or excessively worn accessories.
- Allow the grinder to reach operating speed before contacting the workpiece.
- Maintain a secure grip and stable working position during operation.
- Disconnect the air supply before changing accessories, servicing the tool, or making adjustments.
- Use dry only.
