Benchmark Abrasives #2 x 1" Square Insert Bit 1/4" hex are CNC machine ground out of heat-treated S2 Shock resistant tool steel, which will withstand extremely high torque output and provide maximum durability.  They are widely used on electric screwdrivers, hand screwdrivers, cordless drills, etc.

Square bits are also known as Robertson bits. The tip geometry of the Square Insert Bits reduces wear and creates an ideal fit with every fastener. This square insert bit is used in mortising machines or drill presses. They are used in hand drivers or with a bit adapter in power tools. It features a unique torsion zone to deliver long life in both metal and wood fastening applications. They are engineered with heavy-duty, cold-forged, high-grade steel to withstand high torque output and are built for maximum durability and long life with impact drivers.
