2024 Collectable Christmas Ornament

‘Twas the night before grinding, and all through the shop, Not a welder was stirring, not even a mop. The helmets were hung by the workstations with care, In hopes that Benchmark Abrasives soon would be there.

The grinders were nestled all snug in their docks, While visions of flap discs danced round the blocks. And foreman with his wrench, and I with my cap, Had just settled down for a post-welding nap.

When out of the toolbox there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my bench to see what was the matter. Away to the workbench I flew like a flash, Tripped over a welder and took quite a crash.

The sparks from the arc in the dimly lit space, Gave a glimmer of purpose to every man's face. When what to my welding mask should appear, But a package from Benchmark, wrapped up like gear.

With a little old driver so lively and brisk, I knew in a moment it must be Saint Disk. More rapid than air grinders his discs they came, And he whistled and shouted and called them by name:

“Now Cut Off! Now Sanding! Now Flap Disc and Wheel! On Surface! On Stripping! On Grind and Reveal! To the weld bead and burr! To the rough welded seam! Now grind away! Smooth away! Make it all gleam!”
