3" BRISTLE BRUSH – QUICK CHANGE DISC

Benchmark Abrasives 3" bristle brush quick change discs use aluminum oxide abrasive embedded throughout flexible bristles for controlled cleaning, coating removal, light deburring, blending, and surface conditioning on metal. The larger 3" working diameter provides more coverage than smaller quick change brushes while still conforming to irregular surfaces and contours.

Available in 50, 80, and 120 grit, these R-Type quick change bristle brushes provide a progression from heavier cleaning to finer surface conditioning. They are effective for removing rust, paint, oxidation, varnish, and surface contamination while allowing fast disc changes between cleaning and finishing steps. A matching 3" R-Type quick change holder is required and sold separately.

Machine Compatibility

This disc requires a matching 3" R-Type quick change holder. The holder, disc, and machine must all be properly rated for the tool's maximum speed.

Compatible examples include:

• Benchmark Abrasives BMT-QC90_1 Right Angle Pneumatic Quick Change Sander — use with a matching 3" Type R backing pad rated for at least the sander's 15,000 RPM maximum.

Do not assume compatibility based solely on spindle, collet, or holder connection. Confirm that the machine permits the accessory diameter and type and that every component in the assembly is properly speed rated.

Safety Tips

• Do not exceed the 25,000 RPM maximum speed of the brush.
• Always follow the lowest RPM rating of the brush, holder, and power tool.
• Use only a properly sized and securely mounted 3" R-Type quick change holder.
• Inspect the brush and holder before each use.
• Do not use damaged, cracked, excessively worn, or improperly seated components.
• Use light, controlled pressure rather than forcing the brush into the workpiece.
• Wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses with side shields, a face shield when needed, hearing protection, gloves, and suitable respiratory protection when required.
