Benchmark Abrasives 3-inch quick-change sanding disc for aluminum is designed for fast grinding, blending, deburring, and surface preparation on aluminum and other soft, non-ferrous metals. Its premium abrasive grain delivers an aggressive, consistent cut while the specialized stearate coating helps prevent loading and material buildup.
Unlike standard sanding discs that can quickly clog when used on aluminum, the stearate treatment liquefies slightly as heat develops during sanding. This creates a protective barrier over the abrasive surface, helping prevent aluminum particles from sticking to the disc. The result is a cleaner cut, longer disc life, and less downtime spent replacing clogged abrasives.
The compact 3-inch size provides excellent control when working in tight spaces, around curves, inside corners, and on smaller components. The quick-change attachment allows operators to switch discs in seconds without tools, making it ideal for fabrication shops, automotive work, maintenance operations, and production environments.
