Product Specification

4-1/2” CONTINUOUS RIM DIAMOND BLADE

Built for cleaner, more controlled cutting in tile and stone, the Benchmark Abrasives 4-1/2” Continuous Rim Diamond Blade is designed for ceramic tile, porcelain tile, granite, natural stone, and marble. Its continuous diamond rim maintains constant contact with the material to help produce a smoother finished edge with less chipping than an aggressive segmented masonry blade.

The 10 mm diamond rim provides substantial usable cutting depth, while the 4-1/2” diameter gives users additional reach for larger tile and stone work without sacrificing control. Rated up to 13,580 RPM, this blade is built for precision-focused cutting where edge quality and a cleaner finish are more important than maximum material-removal speed.

Applications & Performance

Designed for tile and stone cutting where a smoother finished edge is preferred over the faster, rougher cut produced by a segmented masonry blade.

  • Ceramic tile cutting
  • Porcelain tile cutting
  • Granite cutting
  • Marble cutting
  • Natural stone cutting
  • Tile installation and remodeling
  • Straight cuts
  • Trimming and detail work
  • Finish-sensitive stone applications
  • Larger tile and stone cuts requiring additional reach

The continuous rim provides uninterrupted diamond contact with the workpiece, helping produce a smoother edge and more controlled cut than an open segmented rim.

Materials

  • Ceramic Tile
  • Porcelain Tile
  • Granite
  • Natural Stone
  • Marble

Machine Compatibility

For use with 4-1/2” wet tile and masonry saws.

Compatible examples include:

  • FLEX® CS 40 Wet Masonry Saw — 12,000 RPM; wet cutting with 7/8" mounting. Confirm the 4-1/2" blade’s reach, guard clearance and water delivery in this 5"-capacity saw. The blade must have a matching 7/8" bore. Confirm this blade has the required 7/8" mounting.

Other models may also fit. Match the mounting, speed rating and required guard to your tool. Use continuous water flow as directed by the blade and saw instructions.

Safety Tips

  • Never exceed the blade’s maximum rated speed of 13,580 RPM.
  • Use this blade with equipment approved for wet cutting and maintain the required water supply.
  • Maintain the water supply required by the machine throughout cutting.
  • Inspect the blade, rim, mounting opening, and flanges before each use. Do not use a damaged or distorted blade.
  • Verify the exact arbor and flange arrangement before installation.
  • Never enlarge the mounting opening or use improvised or loose reducing bushings.
  • Use the guard required by the machine manufacturer.
  • Allow the blade to cut at its own rate; excessive pressure can reduce cut quality and increase heat.
  • Do not side-load or grind with the sides of the blade unless the exact accessory is specifically approved for that operation.
  • Use appropriate eye, hearing, respiratory, and other required personal protective equipment.
  • Cutting stone or masonry materials can generate respirable silica. Use the required water-delivery and other task-appropriate dust-control measures.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is intended for ceramic tile, porcelain tile, granite, natural stone, and marble.
A continuous rim maintains uninterrupted contact with the material, which generally produces a smoother finished edge and less chipping than a more aggressive segmented blade.
The blade has a 10 mm diamond rim.
Use this blade for wet cutting with equipment approved for water delivery. Do not use it dry.
The maximum operating speed is 13,580 RPM. The blade rating must meet or exceed the machine’s required accessory speed.
Compatible examples include FLEX® CS 40 Wet Masonry Saw: 12,000 RPM; wet cutting with 7/8" mounting. Confirm the 4-1/2" blade’s reach, guard clearance and water delivery in this 5"-capacity saw. The blade must have a matching 7/8" bore. Confirm this blade has the required 7/8" mounting. Other models may also fit; match the mounting, speed rating and guard to your tool.
No diamond blade can guarantee a chip-free result in every material. A continuous rim is designed to provide a cleaner edge than a segmented blade, but material type, feed rate, water flow, blade condition, and machine stability all affect the finished cut.
No. It is also designed for ceramic tile, porcelain tile, natural stone and marble.
