Benchmark Abrasives 5" x .045" x 7/8" T1 thin cut-off wheels for aluminum are built for fast, controlled cutting of aluminum and other approved nonferrous metals with the added reach of a 5" wheel. The thin .045" profile keeps the kerf narrow while the larger diameter provides more cutting depth than a 4-1/2" wheel, making it a strong choice for fabrication, automotive, maintenance, and repair work.
The wheel uses an aluminum oxide and silicon carbide abrasive blend formulated for aluminum and other approved nonferrous applications. Its flat Type 1 construction is designed strictly for edge cutting, making it well suited for aluminum sheet, tubing, extrusions, fabricated parts, and other applications where efficient cutting and good control are important.
With a 7/8" arbor and a 12,225 RPM maximum rating, this wheel is designed for compatible 5" angle grinders equipped for Type 1 cut-off wheel use. Because wheel diameter matters as much as arbor size, use it only on grinders specifically rated for 5" wheels and fitted with the proper cut-off guard, flanges, and mounting hardware.

Do not install this wheel on a grinder limited to 4-1/2" wheels simply because the arbor fits. Always verify wheel capacity, arbor size, maximum RPM, flange configuration, mounting hardware, and the correct Type 1 cut-off guard before operation.
