The bit is manufactured from heat-treated M2 high-speed steel with a titanium coating that adds hardness and wear resistance for longer service life and faster drilling. Chamfered steps allow the operator to progressively work through each diameter for greater control and accuracy, while the self-centering 135° split point starts on contact to reduce wobbling and eliminate the need for a center-punch hole in many applications. A double-flute design promotes fast chip removal and heat evacuation for a cooler drilling operation and extended bit life.
