Product Specification
5" X 5/8"-11 RESIN FIBER DISC BACKING PAD
Benchmark Abrasives 5" resin fiber disc backing pad provides the rigid support needed to run 5" resin fiber discs on a right-angle grinder. Its solid thermoplastic construction helps transfer grinding pressure efficiently to the workpiece, making it well suited to aggressive stock removal, weld grinding, beveling, deburring, and other demanding applications.
Raised spiral ribs and ventilation holes promote airflow behind the abrasive disc to help manage heat during use. The rigid plastic construction is lighter than traditional rubber backing pads, while the included lock nut securely holds compatible 5" resin fiber discs in place.

Tip: Rigid backing pads transfer more pressure directly to the abrasive, making them particularly effective for coarse-grit grinding and heavy material removal.
Safety Tips & Techniques
- Inspect the backing pad, lock nut, abrasive disc, and grinder before use.
- Do not use a backing pad that is cracked, warped, melted, or excessively worn.
- Make sure the resin fiber disc sits flat and is securely fastened before operation.
