Name: Jenny Jeffus
Location: Somewhere Website: spicycelica. YouTube: @Spicy_Celica
Specialties: I’m a mechanic for trade with a serious side hobby in body work. I do photography and I’m adept at design.
Tell us about yourself - what inspired you to get into your trade? And how long? When I was still in high school I had gotten a Mazda 6. Loved that car but I only had it for a couple of weeks due to a crash where I wasn’t at fault. My next car ended up being a 2002 Toyota Celica GT that needed a lot of work done to it. I put thousands into that car and realized I really enjoyed the feeling of bringing a car back from death and returning it to its former self.

What keeps you motivated throughout the day? I have the mindset of “life is short so live it”. Living my life is being cuddled up next to a car. The best motivator is fixing that car and driving it knowing that “I did that” is my main motivation. |
What is your favorite shop tool and why? my favorite tool would have to be the eraser wheel, it’s so satisfying watching the adhesive disappear. |
What's your favorite piece that you've worked on? I really like the interior piece that I created of a mouth that is the interior compartment lid. |
If you could have any job as it relates to question 1 what would it be and what would you do with that? truly I’d love to be a social media creator and live off of working on cars (body work and being a mechanic), sharing my experiences with the world, and monetization. |

What BA product is your favorite and why?
the only product I’ve used so far was the sandpaper roll/tape. Wonderful product, it’s very sticky and takes paint off nicely!

What BA product surprised you in terms of quality - what about it set it apart from the competition?
the sand paper roll was the best sticky sandpaper I’ve used so far. Its adhesive was shockingly strong.
What tips and tricks do you have for us that might be different or eye opening for others to try with BA product?
I recommend little pressure with sanding blocks using benchmark abrasives sandpaper. It works a little too well
If there was one person you could collaborate with - who would it be and why?
I wouldn’t say necessarily a person, but a business. Redline 360 would be awesome. They sell well made car parts and have never done me wrong.

Do you have any advice for the next generation that you wish you had when you first started?
it’s never too late to start doing what you love. Continue to learn and grow for your own sake. Do what you love and don’t settle for less than your goal.
What are your future plans for your shop?
I’d love to have a shop that is built into my house so I can sleep with the cars I have worked so hard on. I want to have lifts and machinery and a roof that’s not leaky. I would love to paint cars for other people as well. My “shop” is currently my home garage. Needs a lot of work just like my vehicles.
