Tell us about yourself - what inspired you to get into your trade? And how long? I was 6 years into owning a gym and was wanting a change, I loved the practicality of trades so I went under a nearby welding mentorship. The freedom in fabrication made it really inspiring and challenging for me. I've been welding under my own business for about 4 years now.

What keeps you motivated throughout the day? Good snacks, a lot of coffee, and being able to watch the progress of a project right in front of me is truly satisfying. |
What is your favorite shop tool and why? Probably my little flux core. I have to take it out a lot and it's not only great in bad weather, but also lets me drag it around in places like on top of this skoolie. Or underneath one. |
What's your favorite piece that you've worked on? My first full project was a work bench stool I made for myself. It was a pain with all the angles and clean up, but I still get compliments on it and even messages from other welders asking to use the design. |
If you could have any job as it relates to question 1 what would it be and what would you do with that? Anything that demands creativity. Diving more into auto fab or motorcycles would be something new I haven't tried yet, so I am still taking custom orders in new areas and learning from other people's ideas and dreams. |

What BA product is your favorite and why?
I go through a ton of flap wheels and BA's are great. They last way longer and I didn't notice until I ran out at one point and grabbed some general brand at a shop. They give a smooth, even finish which is perfect for my detailed orders.

What BA product surprised you in terms of quality - what about it set it apart from the competition?
The cutting wheels, especially with how thin they looked when I ordered my first set. Usually I get a lot of heat and run through them pretty quickly, but these were smoother and quicker and I haven't had to reorder as soon.

What tips and tricks do you have for us that might be different or eye opening for others to try with BA product?
Don't get stuck on tools having one job each separately, learn to use them together and it makes life a whole lot easier.
Do you have any advice for the next generation that you wish you had when you first started?
Expand from within your trade. We're not robots stuck in one choice, I combined my welding work with my woodworking hobbies and it's become some of my biggest custom orders. Keep learning even if it doesn't fit into your one profession.
What are your future plans for your shop?
Just to keep growing and learning new methods and techniques. I plan to also start teaching to local girls once I have a bigger space for it.
