Tell us about yourself - what inspired you to get into your trade? And how long?

After leaving the military I didn’t know what to do, I needed to do something though so I started welding school since it was the fastest thing I could do, and through that I’ve found fabrication. I’m currently working on starting my own fabrication projects. I just bought my own welder and plasma table. I’m down to my skivies but I’m excited and ready to learn more and more every day. I’ve been welding 7 months.

What keeps you motivated throughout the day?
My 4 month old daughter, fiancé, and my mother. my new mission is to get so good at fabrication and welding that I can afford to get us a house and get out of this apartment, at the same time my moms roof is almost gone no shingles it needs to be fixed and she has no means of reliable transportation I want to be able to help her with those things because she was always there and still is to help me.

What is your favorite shop tool and why?
My welding machine to bring everything together

What's your favorite piece that you've worked on?
I haven't had the opportunity to work on many projects yet but some of my tig welds have came out okay, still so much room for improvement.

If you could have any job as it relates to question 1 what would it be and what would you do with that?
I would have my own shop and fabricate really cool stuff like Jon boats or literally anything. I would grow my business and help as many people learn to fabricate on their own as possible.

What BA product is your favorite and why?

Probably the flap disc I want to use them to basically sand my trailer that’ll hold my Jon boat build when I get there!

If there was one person you could collaborate with - who would it be and why?

Palmer fabrication. I’m nothing and nobody right now but a new dude to the industry and he’s had my back for all the questions and support I’ve needed since getting out of the military. Plus he does some bad ass work

Do you have any advice for the next generation that you wish you had when you first started?

Don’t be afraid to reach out for help everyone needs to start somewhere. Hood time is good time.

What are your future plans for your shop?

To be able to be a shop that people can trust and have capabilities to fabricate anything and everything with a little customization. While also spreading knowledge and support to future fabricators and veterans interested in the craft.

I'm striving and struggling every day to get closer to having my own shop, If anyone has any advice or work they want to do together or knowledge they want to share I’m ready to get involved and make an impact on the industry.
