Tell us about yourself - what inspired you to get into your trade? And how long? My name is Tommy Mazz. I'm 33 years old. I’ve been in the metalworking arena for almost 20 years. I have been lucky enough to get started in the trade at 14 years old. What inspired me about metal working was monster garage TV and hot rod TV

What keeps you motivated throughout the day? What keeps me motivated through the day is a good radio and a good music playlist no matter what the conditions or job is if you have a positive outlook in good music, you get it done |

What is your favorite shop tool and why? My favorite shop tool has to be my Milwaukee cordless grinder having no cord makes it easy just to go do a quick cut or grinding |

What's your favorite piece that you've worked on? My favorite job I worked on is this brass soldier. |

If you could have any job as it relates to question 1 what would it be and what would you do with that? If I could have any job, it would be my own full-time shop to do small and large metalworking fabrication and machine work |

My favorite BA product has to be the flap disc. They seem to last longer and don’t clog up with material like the competition.

What BA product surprised me in quality is the cutting wheels. They last long and are very durable when it comes to out of position cutting.

What tips and tricks do you have for us that might be different or eye opening for others to try with BA products?
Tips and tricks that I have are when sanding aluminum rub a little bit of bar soap on the flap disc or sanding belts so the material doesn’t clog up as easy

If there was one person you could collaborate with - who would it be and why?
If I could collaborate with one person, it would have to be Jesse James because he is world renowned, superior, blacksmith, and metal worker

Do you have any advice for the next generation that you wish you had when you first started?
Advice for the next generation is to show up and be helpful. Listen, you can learn a lot of things from every different journey person on the job.

What are your future plans for your shop?
My plans for my shop are to expand and get myself a metal lathe or milling machine.
